Start with a direction
A big goal becomes less dramatic when it is turned into a week, then a session, then the next small decision.
The current challenge
I’ve given myself one mission: complete a long-distance triathlon at IRONMAN Calella in October 2027. I want to respect the distance and bring a prepared version of myself to the start line. The goal is to learn as much as possible, train with consistency, and enjoy a race I will have earned.
The approach
Build consistency first. Learn the three sports, keep easy sessions easy, add volume with patience and let race-specific intensity arrive when the foundation is ready.
Understand the three sports, the body and the habits that make training repeatable.
Stack consistent weeks. Add volume with patience and make room for recovery.
Current focusBring in race-specific work when the foundation is ready.
Reduce the volume before race day, reach the start line prepared and enjoy the experience.
The distance ahead
The long-distance format I’m working towards. These are race distances, not completed training totals.
Target: October 2027 · date to be confirmed
Notes along the way

A big goal becomes less dramatic when it is turned into a week, then a session, then the next small decision.

Swimming, cycling and running each ask a different question. I am learning to listen before trying to answer.

My first marathon taught me that wanting something and preparing for it are two different kinds of energy.
